The Grim Reaper was death himself (you should know that) but in the beginning he wasn't a skeleton he was just a normal human with powers like us. Before he died, he putted A curse on his soul and when he died he became The Grim Reaper, but he wasn't without his skin then he had a friend a powerfull demon named ankmunra, someday ankmunra betrayed him and pulled his skin right off. his power was fading and he became weak. His last day was the day before halloween 2008 he gave 1 % of power to me. That 1 % maked me The Grim Reaper.
